I'm not too fussed if he leaves, his pace is a bit of liability at the back, he makes Chris Powell look really fast. I only saw him play about two decent balls a game, most of his passes were as already stated unsuccessful "hollywood balls". I was quite surprised by his tackling ability and would much rather, Pearson take Neilson with him upto Hull.

Jesus wept, can somebody explain to me what this means, without being cryptic?

I'm not sure exactly what 'Hollywood balls' are but I'd guess they are probably tough to chew on.

However, Solano did like to play an audacious 50 yard pass from right back. Mostly to the opposition midfield but sometimes straight out of play on the opposite side of the pitch.

He was largely shit for us anyway. Bye.

Was he?

I had no problem with him filling in at right back or wherever. My heart didn't skip a beat when he was playing, unlike other names I could mention in the full back positions last season.

:icon_lol: Yeah, we all get like that over Morrison.

I'm not sorry to see him go. There were too many balls pumped forward that didn't find our players. Lack of pace was an issue, even though his reading of the game was spot on.

Every pass and I mean every pass was an outside of the boot 30 yard pass to the opposition. So he attempted a Hollywood pass (in the glamour and style context) but without actually achieving it.

Thanks lazz. I'm still a bit confused as to why he didn't just say that he was crap at passing the the ball, but there you go.

Hollywood ball means a crap pass, if anybody else is confused by this bizarre expression. The easy way to remember it is that Hollywood makes crap films.

In America they call them 'Hail Mary' passes.

Just how Jebus' mum could help in a sporting environment is a mystery.
