Holloway will be without Stephen Clemence for his side's FA Cup third round clash against Southampton at the St Mary's Stadium on Saturday.

They sound as happy as we do reading the comments.

Feck entertainment, feck sophistication, feck the midfield.
Dont honestly think he wlll rest any of these players so that they wont be cup-tied,IH keeps saying that he is happy to be in charge of a club where he is a buying not selling manager. To rest 4 of his first choice team in a squad that is lacking in quality would be an insult to all of us spending our hard earned money to make the trip to St Marys. But there again when did we ever count, maybe your rightThe team selection will be interesting as it may hold a few hints of possible departures. Would not be surprised to see Hume, Fryatt, Stearman and Kisnorbo "rested" to avoid being cup tied.
IMO the team could line up as follows :
Henderson
J Chambers
N'Gotty
McAuley
Sheehan
Hayes
Weslowski
King
Mattock
Howard
Hayles

But none of these players are IH signings and he has already admitted that there is a negative vibe running through the club, truth is for the club to start making serious progress IMO we have to move out a lot of the players who have been involved over the last 2 / 3 seasons, we invested in potential and the cold hard facts are that as a collective we are nowhere near good enough.
If Holloway can raise additional monies to spend on bringing in his "own team" then IMO he won't hesitate, lets be honest I and many others would not be too disappointed to see any of the current squad sold especially if it allowed the manager to progress his team building plans.
Agree with you the squad is to big and most of it is inherited, but we should be trying to increase the quality while reducing the quantity. We wont do that by selling our supposedly better players, far better to pay off/loan or sell some of the fringe players.MM says his target is to get us into the prem in 3yrs he wont do this by selling our better players.i am not saying that these players should be guaranteed football but would be worth a place in a squad of quality rather than players we have in the present squadOn the whole i agree apart from he fact our first team is getting too big numbers wise ,the only chance of sorting this is by selling a few of the players that someone mite buy IE Hume fryatt and so on the rest we have to agree to end contracts and pay them off ,thats football for you :icon_wink
