i'm all for being positive about players and having optimism that they perform to their best rather than their worst (i've seen coatsworth play for Leicester after all). However, Sheehan was bad enough against Charlton (who will never get promoted this season) to warrant a spell in the reserves rediscovering himself. Hayes looked much more of a footballer i.e give it to him and you might get a constructive piece of football in open play. that's why i'd go with him.
In an odd way it would be better for Sheehans confidence to have work done in the reserves rather than the pressure of the first team, where actually coming up with the goods is all that counts unfortunately.
