Agree with you the squad is to big and most of it is inherited, but we should be trying to increase the quality while reducing the quantity. We wont do that by selling our supposedly better players, far better to pay off/loan or sell some of the fringe players.MM says his target is to get us into the prem in 3yrs he wont do this by selling our better players.i am not saying that these players should be guaranteed football but would be worth a place in a squad of quality rather than players we have in the present squad

The problem is to balance the books some of them have too go

Agreed again, but the ones who should be going are the fringe/not good enough for the 1st team players. It is said that since administration nobody at the club is on"silly wages",I dont and you dont know who earns what only the rumoured pay so therefore eg Fryatts wages wont be much to different to say Kentons. If by some divine miracle the 3yr dream is achieved we need a sqaud of quality not of players who cant cut it in this league.Maybe if the better players can be included in a smaller but higher quality squad they can develop as a real team with a squad of depth, worked for Reading

Your right but its a shame it don't work that way ,well not a leicester :icon_conf

But none of these players are IH signings and he has already admitted that there is a negative vibe running through the club, truth is for the club to start making serious progress IMO we have to move out a lot of the players who have been involved over the last 2 / 3 seasons, we invested in potential and the cold hard facts are that as a collective we are nowhere near good enough.

If Holloway can raise additional monies to spend on bringing in his "own team" then IMO he won't hesitate, lets be honest I and many others would not be too disappointed to see any of the current squad sold especially if it allowed the manager to progress his team building plans.
The Pink One is talking sense again. It'll get you in trouble, you know...

Today we will get hammered by another average side.

Good day.

The team selection will be interesting as it may hold a few hints of possible departures. Would not be surprised to see Hume, Fryatt, Stearman and Kisnorbo "rested" to avoid being cup tied.

Maybe but tbh I can't see anyone team been put off buying one of ourplayers because they are cup-tied.A Championship side aren't going to win the FA Cup and Premier League sides other than a handful don't take the FA cup that seriuosly.
I expect us to play 3 upfront and the likes of Kenton in the middle.I heard IH say that he thinks Soton are a passing side and he wants to get amongst them and unsettle them so I expect Kenton and Weso to start.Front 3 of Hume,Howard and Fryatt with one in behind the other two perhaps

Just spoke to my mum and she reckons that Radio Leicester were reporting that if you press the red button during the Ville - manure game that you can watch Southampton v Leicester and a few other games.

Can anyone confirm this highly exciting news, i sincerly hope it's true so i dont have to listen to that wanker Barber again.

i'd play

f*cking hendo

stearman kisnorbo mcauley mattock

hume king weso hayes

Howard Fryatt

subs: hayles, goalie, a chambers, n gotty, kenton

sheehan shouldn't be allowed to wear a city shirt again after the charlton game. nor kenton for that matter, but we've got nothing else.

We would have heard, surely?

Bloody hope so, but can't see it.

So were now in the habit of dropping players because of one bad performance against one of the best teams in the league.

I now can see that Melts is correct about us destroying players. I would fecking hate to play for this club at the moment i really would. I can't remember a time where such a massive section of our supporters are such fickle boneheads.

This isn't aimed primarily at you Sparky, but i feel the way some people behave towards the younger members of our team is unacceptable.

Today gives us a good opportunity to drop Mattock and play sheehan and hayes down the left.

The way i see it is that with the team we are likely to field our only chance of scoring will be from a set peice. Get Sheehan firing them onto Hpwards head and we might get lucky, if not, then were royaly ****ed.

villa dont kick off till 5.15

Yes but it's obviously pre recorded. I dont want to miss any opportunity to save my ears from the biggest inept prick on the radio.

Maybe it's the highlights.

I can't see RL recommending watching a live game on TV and risk losing listeners, they are fighting to keep them.

Maybe they think people will listen and then watch the game when it's on later.
