......' Carl Cort has been on the treatment bench for the last 2 wks, he got off it because he wanted to play for Ian Holloway. What people dont realize is that we dont have the options and he was buying us time with using young Sappleton '

Fair enough call. He was shite today, and I put that mostly down to coming back from injury. Trouble is, there's only a couple of matches a season where that won't be the case.

The only ones to come out of today with any credit are really Hayes, Fulop and King. Sheehan and Stearman were partly good, partly dismal and the rest just woeful. Kisnorbo's worst game for a year, I reckon.

We need to get in some midfielders its hardly Rocket Science, attack might be better when we get some decent midfielders in.

Correct. Fulop kept hoofing the ball upfront and bypassing what midfield we had.

And on the evidence of the last two games, Clemence is NOT a classy midfielder - very poor again today.

Clemence never was or will be a classy player, but imo he is the type of player we need. What is missing is the quality to go with is industry in the middle of the park. Clemence was Birminghams player of the season, you dont get them awards without having something.

Ollie currently on radio slating the fans for the reaction towards Carl Cort

I agree with the sentiments expressed by Ollie - it is pretty poor to jeer Cort. But he can't have it both ways, Cort is 6 foot whatever but can't even get off the ground to try for headers.

Sorry Ollie, if that was a player really trying then Teddy Bear help us when he decides not to bother.

In fairness, I think it is only the dicks that boo players and believe they are helping the team by doing so.

Dicks out!

:038::038::038:

Whilst I understand the frustration, booing and jeering doesn't do anybody any favours, least of all the players that are still on the pitch.

He did explain that Corts knees are fecked, and it will eventually stop him from playing. That is probaly why you dont see the effort.

Not according to Ollie in the aftermatch interview.

He sounded right pissed off with sections of the crowd for the barracking that Cort got.

i can see his point, i can understand we pay our money and have a right to show our disgrace, however booing any one player or the team wont lift morale (unless you are Lilly Savage).

Ollie cant do this alone, lets worry about next weeks games and hope for an improvement

Then in all honesty he shouldn't really be on the pitch.

Aye,what the feck isn't he doing here?? Let me get this right he is paid, this is his job right ? So we are supposed to forgive his lack of effort and skill because his knees are fecked. If they are fecked then he should retire, until then he's paid a wage and ought to get his finger out of his arse and do some weaving:102:

Completely agreed.

The Leicester City fans also hate Shaun Newton along with Carl Cort.

It's disgusting.

And when they have driven them out it will be some other poor fecker.Don't get me wrong I think both of them are awful players but booing them won't help

I've always accepted that people pay their money and are entitled to their opinion, but at what point does it become totally negative ? Sometimes some players need a kick up the arse, sometimes players deserve what they get, but if a crowd singles out players for abuse what purpose will it serve. When players are booed for walking on the pitch, when they are booed from the moment they make their first mistake, the players fragile confidence is being destroyed. Most players want to be heros and loved by the fans of their clubs, but constant abuse is playing into the hands of opponents. These players are facing 11 determined opponents, a volatile section of away fans, the last thing they need is 20000 city fans on their backs every time they have the ball.

Ian Holloway has not had the luxury of watching every performance of both Cort and Newton in a City shirt, where as I have. And I am here to tell you that clearly neither appears to give a fcuk about the club and try as I might, I cannot recall a single decent performance by either. Might sound harsh in the wave of a glorious new world, but it is exactly as I see it.

And thats the whole point. He done it because we hadnt got the options. He should be commended for offering to put his boots on, however shite he maybe.

You are absolutely right.

It is the club (whoever the individual) that was to blame for signing Cort.

I am sure he would want to play well if he could - but he can't because he is finished.

that was my reaction to his after match comments in all fairness. if he had to watch what we have at home this season i think he'd be less likely to kiss the useless cripples arse, but then its nice to see a manager trying to defend our players, no matter how shite they may be

I was just following on from you really:icon_wink

Regarding the fans criticism, i'm actually delighted with what Holloway said on the radio. Lets face it we have a shit team, and at times shit supporters ( if you can call them that ). Its always the managers feckin useless, and so and so is feckin useless blah blah blah. For once we had a manager that said it how he saw it, and had a dig at the very people who think they can just turn up and vent their spleens every week. Maybe some people dont like a manager thats prepared to tell a few honest home truths. Perhaps the fans want a manager that will apologize, grovel and beg the fans forgiveness every time something goes wrong.
Imo our fans at times do not do our club any favours.

both played well against chelsea but other than that your right they have both been crap.we were sh*t today but the reason cort gets booed is because he's crap every game where as clemence who was also crap today normally plays well.
