Im not going because I think that the first rounds of the cup should be included in the price of the season ticket, although thats a different arguement. I shall be watching it in the pub instead.

Spot on. You used to get them right through to the Quarter finals, then the club decided to fleece its most loyal supporters.

Its hardly a season ticket if it dosent cover all the games. . They didn't reduce the price in my day, they watered it down by taking an f.a.cup ticket off, and replaced with a 2nd rd league cup ticket. Nice one that!!!!

I'm not really looking forward to us being ripped apart on Sunday, but given the current league position, and the number of games played recently, will Levein be forced to play a 'second' team with a cruicial '6 pointer' coming up at Sheffield Wednesday 6 days later?

I for one hope that whoever he is going to bring in, he does it before the weekend, so at least they can have a runout with the team in the FA Cup game. Otherwise it will be straight in for a big league match.

Although, given CL's previous signings, whoever joins will probably have to be on the bench for a month whilst they "build up match fitness"

I dont think he has the time to bed new signings in, tbh his signings now will have to be impact signings, players who can come in and make an immediate contribution, the one thing we can ill afford is to have new signings come in and take time settling in. Wouldnt surprise me if a percentage were midlands based to try and reduce upheaval.

The last time they included a cup ticket in the ST, the club made a loss, as not all ST holders went to the game (Crewe in the League Cup). They also had the problem with people not turning up to the game, then asking to use their entitlement later, or for their money back, which was never an option.

I remember the Cup tickets from yesteryear. They weren't free, they did form part of the ST package, because unused ones were deducted from the price of the next season's ST.
