The poor old Fosse Boys ain't having much fun...

Just a quick update on what's happening with the group at the moment.

Following on the from the Middlesbrough game LCFC apparently received 25 e-mails regarding the group, of which 3 were in support and 22 were apparently complaints about us being too noisy (remember, the "Kop" is meant to be our home end). As a result we have been issued with an ultimatum, to either move or face ejections/bans.

Obviously we don't much like this bullying approach and as such we need a short time to resolve this issue. So we have decided that just for the Reading game on Saturday there will be no Fosse Boys section at the back of SK1.

This is obviously a setback to the group's ambitions but we know if we don't get our organisation right while the group is still in its infancy we're doomed to fail, so hopefully people will understand why we're doing this.

If anybody would like to contact the club in support of us, please e-mail [email protected], as they obviously value the electronic word far greater than the dozens and dozens of people in the ground who shook hands with us, complimented us on how good it was to have some vitality and passion at home games and generally wished us well last Saturday.

The last time there were a group of people like this sat near me they spend half the game singing and half the game abusing those of us who didn't want to stand up all game, but I'm sure these are nothing like that.

Do this lot just sing foreign songs etc?

I was next to someone at Palace last year who kept singing a foreign song which United had adapted and he was singing it but still with 'United' in it and then getting upset when we didn't all join in.

It's when they try to sing "we all hate Nottingham" against any other team that irritates me. I agree the atmosphere is flat at times, and I wish I could muster up the energy to bother singing, but I'm not going to bother with irrelevant shite

That one gets up my nose a little as well. The away supporters must wonder what the feck's going on. And being extremely pedantic, whilst I have no time at all for Florist, I happen to think that the City of Nottingingham is not bad at all, especially as it's got a fair number of really good pubs. For an alcoholic that's got the place in my good books.

I disagree about Nottingham, which I don't like as a place.

I suppose I only really like Leicester because of a certain bias though and I certainly take your point about the constant slagging of Nottingham. Get behind our lot instead!

Beerfest in October (14th - 17TH) I understand some 700 different ales for sampling:icon_eek:

Pathetic, what sad fans would take time out and email the club complaining about something which is making a better atmosphere, unreal and sums up our club.

Nottingham has the only Hooters in Britain

yeah ok, still crap

It would be interesting to see the complaints though wouldn't it?

I doubt if they are actually about constant singing and support of the club. I'm not pointing any fingers, but complaints (especially among the English for some reason) are usually only made when someone has wronged us in some way, so perhaps those not singing have been goaded etc?

I'm not sure, I just wouldn't want to condemn either side without hearing both sides and potentially knowing exactly what the complaints are about.

But this lot didn't and they have said they want to avoid using such songs.

No that was some nobber who went the game with a group of them. They have done the odd little foreign number during the two games and it keeps some sort of buzz during the game. At Palace, this year pretty much the whole stadium did 'We Love You' and another one and it sounded the db's.

The last time there were a group of people like this sat near me they spend half the game singing and half the game abusing those of us who didn't want to stand up all game, but I'm sure these are nothing like that.

But again these lot didn't, they were tucked away at the back of SK1. They chose that spot so it was close enough to the Kop not to upset Flask Army, they wouldn't be blocking anybody and away from the away fans to avoid idiotic antics.

I expected better off you....them posts were like a Daily Mail reader whose misinformed on a subject. :icon_lol:

Laughable really because if they didn't 'announce' a name or give themselves a banner, nothing would have been said.

Depends, of course, what the actual complaints were

If they were for constant standing, blocking people's view, antagonising or abusing other fans around them - then it's tough titty Fosse Boys IMO

If (as is claimed) it was just for the levels of noise, however, then it's an absolute screaming staring outrageous feckin' disgrace for the club to give them any credence whatsoever

I live in Nottingham and I am an alcoholic, so I agree with every word! Hic! :030:

What harm could they have been doing though, they were at the back of a stand singing and standing, not "goading" or anything of such.

Hey I just stated what my expiences with singing groups were in the past, there is no need for such harsh insults. I've half a mind to get you infracted!

I was at Palace this year again and yeah, it sounded good.
