I say Iain Dowie to celebrate the remarkable managerial achievments he made here whilst at the Walkers.

There will always be argument over which of our 'heroes' should be honoured in this way. Let's not forget that it is the fans that are the lifeblood of any team, not the 'passing-through' players even if they were born here.

For that reason, there can really only be one choice for the statue.

Ladies and gentlemen, I propose............... NWETS :icon_bigg

If we are to have a statue of Emile would it be prudent to have it in its natural position of horizontal?

My enduring memory of Heskey was very early in his career in a Christmas game against Norwich. The first time many of us will have seen him play.

Down 2-1 he came off the bench and absolutely terrorized the canaries back four. They had no idea what to do with the bloke. Always had a soft spot for him after that.

One of my favourite memories was when he chased a hoof over the top from Taggart/Elliot (?), which was a complete lost cause. After sprinting 40 yards he slid in to stop it going for a goal kick by smashing it off for a throw in right in the corner. The crowd went mental.

On a side note, I miss Filbert Street.

Was a Central Sports Special if I remember rightly. All the prematch talk was of how Norwich's manager had suddenly walked out on them that very morning, one M. O'Neill.

(could be wrong though!)

Yep. earlier in the week I was at a reserve match in an executive box (don't remember how that happened) and Martin George and O'Neill were in the box next to us. This was before he was officially hired.

We were about to appoint former (and future) Norwich manager Mike Walker (father of Ian), and he was at the ground working for the TV people. O'Neill's resignation led to a quick change of mind and he became Leicester manager a few days later.

Norwich appointed Gary Megson to replace O'Neill.

A statue of our would be saviour and wizard of the wing Sir Barrington Hayles would be good. Could remind us just how good we've got it now and keep the moaning down a touch.

Surely it should be Ricky Sappleton?

He turned Liverpool down for us FFS!
