Burnley Football Club can confirm that first team manager Steve Cotterill has left the club by mutual consent.

Chairman Barry Kilby and Operations Director Brendan Flood will hold a press conference at Turf Moor at 4pm on Friday, November 9.

Burnley Football Club would like to place on record their thanks to Steve Cotterill for his hard work and commitment to the club since he took the role in June 2004.

There will be no further comment at this time.

Surely can't have been sacked, so he must have resigned with a club to go to.

The question is which one?

Been taking quite some stick from the fans, so I hear - will be a popular departure amongst many
 
Martin Allen will be given the job tomorrow at 4pm (burnely job)
