Would Mandaric have even had the opportunity to speak to McClaren given the fact that he's currently in Austria and Switzerland working for the BBC at Euro 2008?

No, I bet McClaren is working 24 hours a day.

First, I'm grateful to McClaren for failing to get England into the Euro Finals.

Football should be confined to the winter and I can't stand the silly little flags on cars and the mouthy drunken hysteria when England are involved in big tournaments.

Logistically it is possible, could have been contacted a number of ways and MM could have even flown over there for a day or SMcC even flown back here for a day so logistically not impossible. However in practice, it is very, very, very unlikely to have happened IMO.

He has learned his trade extremely well, but has been proven to be out of his depth at International level, he did 'ok' at Middlesbrough but Gareth Southgate (with no prior experience) has done a better job there and he has absolutely no clue of League One.

Madness.

Are you not going to answer my question sensibly?

Sorry, wasn't sure if it was a serious question or not.

In answer to the original question then, yes there are a number of single reasons not to believe what someone has posted. I know it sounds absurd but I think it may be possible for someone to post something that they have just made up, never really heard of it happening before but I'm sure it would be possible.

Also, given the fact that I have been told on good authority that MM has already agreed a deal with Zico to be our boss next season, I highly suspect SMcC to be unveiled on Monday. :icon_cool

Are you suggesting Doggie_muz is lying?

I am saying it is a possibility.

Not been on here for a while though, is Doggie_muz known to have contacts from within the club then?

I have no idea, but he/she's never given me a reason not to distrust them.

It seems the theme of the day on here at the moment.

Time for a reality check!
I honestly cannot believe 77 (now 78) posts about the possibility of Steve McClaren becoming our next manager!! Incredible. :icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol:
