Hughes over Williams any day of the week.....No HF, not like that. Willliams thinks he's ****ing Zidane half the time. Hughes had recurrent injuries last term. You'll see...He'll be great.

But he's had them all his career Alex,he just hasn't the Physique for football.

Hughes IMO has been disappointing, he has a few good games, (but anyone playing at this level should be able to do that) He is no better than Williams but they are both good enough for us in this division.

Only if they apply themselves a lot better than they have done over the past 12 or so months. There are many central midfielders who despite not having anywhere near as much natural talent and ability as either Hughes or Williams, had a much more effective and positive impact on their clubs season than either of our two, hence why he had the difficulties last season. IMO both Hughes and Williams have performed well within their comfort zones and if they harbour any ambitions of playing at a higher level and maybe forcing their way into the international reckoning then they need to start influencing games on a consistent basis.

I think I'd agree with that, he needs to bulk up a bit. I personally rate Williams higher..

Corect me if I'm wrong - but has Hughes got a similar frame to a one Muzzy Izzet at comparable age?

The same Muzzy Izzet who had to retire due to injuries :icon_redf

Unless they both improve and stay injury-free both Hughes and Williams should be moved on. It doesn't matter if they're talented because if they don't deliver every week, we don't need them. There's a bit of controversy to liven up the afternoon anyway.

He had to quit after the first day as he got a paper cut which was going to keep him off work for 6 months :icon_redf
