It's what my mother always used to tell me; 'if all else fails, book a Dutchman'. I never knew what she meant by that. :/

Do you have any Dutch blood in you?

So Barkley plays on Boxing Day, but Vardy doesn't

Sounds perfectly fair to me :038: :038: :038:

The FA are clueless ****ers. In the meantime Ross Barley has received a knighthood for his services to tackling.

Vardy's sending off looked to have scuppered Leicester's chances of taking anything from Stoke, as Claudio Ranieri's men quickly found themselves 2-0 down.

But, against the odds, the 10 men of the Foxes scored two late goals to snatch an unlikely point.

It was only the sixth time in Premier League history that a team has managed to pull back a two-goal deficit while playing with a one-man disadvantage.

The most recent was in August 2010, when Bolton were 2-0 down against Birmingham with Jussi Jaaskelainen sent off. But a Kevin Davies penalty and Robbie Blake goal rescued a point.

But the most impressive came in April 2003, when Arsenal, with Abou Diaby sent off, overturned Bolton's 2-0 lead to win 3-2 through William Gallas, Robin van Persie and a Jlloyd Samuel own goal.

The FA couldn't have done any differently.

In that split second, Vardy had a choice. He could pull out of the challenge in the knowledge that he was out of control or he could follow through with it. He chose the latter and it was the wrong decision irrespective of whether he was fouled, won the ball, or whatever.

Boxing day will take us onto 6 suspensions this season already. Rather than complaining about how hard done by Vardy is, we ought to focus on the lack of discipline shown by our players this season.

For example, what about Huth and Fuchs who both managed the 'professional players favourite' - a fifth booking for a piece of stupidity in the game immediately before Xmas - giving them Xmas off?

If he was already out of control how exactly do you expect him to control his action?

You really think they'll get xmas off?
I'm sure they'll be in training on Sunday like the rest of the team.

They may be given time off with their families or they may stay in Leicester and train. Either way, they will be free to eat/drink/relax etc differently than if they were playing on Boxing Day. Read any of numerous accounts from ex-pros about doing it, including a few of our own former players.

In the same way as you can be falling but control how you fall or lose control of your car but be able to decide how it crashes. and so on. Of course you can be out of control and yet still able to decide how your momentum ends.

If he could control how it ended, then he wasn't in any way out of control.
