For example, what about Huth and Fuchs who both managed the 'professional players favourite' - a fifth booking for a piece of stupidity in the game immediately before Xmas - giving them Xmas off?

The Huth I saw looked absolutely flabbergasted and devastated that Pawson booked him a good 2 minutes after his alleged infringement.

They may be given time off with their families or they may stay in Leicester and train. Either way, they will be free to eat/drink/relax etc differently than if they were playing on Boxing Day. Read any of numerous accounts from ex-pros about doing it, including a few of our own former players.

Seriously ?

Those days are long gone

He slammed through the opposition player on the half way line for no apparent reason to earn the most obvious yellow card in the match. There was nothing 'alleged' about it.

It's not like you to fabricate a conspiracy theory is it?

Unfortunate precedent? In what way? There have been plenty of previous occasions when the commission have overturned the referee's decision.
Overturning decisions that are not obviously wrong. The sending off was harsh but it's hardly a clear-cut situation. In these cases, I think the referee's call on the pitch should stand

MQuicker we get technology replacing human error the better.

Really?

The game just wouldn't be as much fun without the contentious decisions. And no more chants of " the referees a wanker", "twelve men, you've only got twelve men" or "you're not fit to referee".

I know what you mean but I don't want to take away that element of the game we all love.

(Goal-line technology excepted for obvious reasons!)

In the same way as you can be falling but control how you fall or lose control of your car but be able to decide how it crashes. and so on. Of course you can be out of control and yet still able to decide how your momentum ends.
Have you ever been running at the same speed as Vardy and had a push in the back whilst having the intention of taking control of a football?

Man Utd are training on Christmas day.

The only way to resolve contentious decisisions and appaulling play acting is retrospective using the Rugby model, it would also mean the FA growing a set of swingers and punish big clubs and big players!

I agree if Vardy's was red then a lot more should be sat watching rather playing on Monday
