Oh my word, just seen a leg breaker from Barkley that only got a yellow card, Alan Smith said it was far worse than Vardys and only got a yellow contact on lower shin

I do think that any other outcome than the decision being upheld would set an unfortunate precedent

Unfortunate precedent? In what way? There have been plenty of previous occasions when the commission have overturned the referee's decision.

Its okay, it was one footed.

What does that have to do with anything?

It means that it's their job. Therefore they need to be proficient at it. Let's hope that people in jobs involving our safety are better at theirs.

**** all! You could pay them £50,000 a match and say they get nothing if they get it wrong, but they would still get sometimes get it wrong.

We have all seen it many times, in slow motion, from several different angles.

The ref had one glimpse from a not helpful angle, for a split second.

If we cannot agree on whether it is a red or even a foul, or even a foul on Vardy, why should we think the ref should be able to see something in a split second and get it right every time? So the appeal should overturn the red.

I remember the infamous Henry penalty handball against Ireland, and the replay shown, engineered to show it from the position of the referee, clearly showed that the players in the way stopped the referee from seeing it, so he could not award the penalty.

All that tells me is that refs are a waste of time and need to have quick and precise help from technological means.

If we left it to the ref ulloa's goal wouldn't have been allowed either. Time to make refs just the mouthpiece of skilled technicians in a box.

I'm going to assume you're either joking or stupid.

Must be stupid. There's no joke there. That ref has proven to be inadequate at the job he's being paid for. He should be sacked and replaced. Quicker we get technology replacing human error the better.

It always annoys me that shit refs get bumped down the divisions. If they are poor they should be trained up, not foisted on others playing by the same rules.

Definitely trained or sacked.

I was a basketball coach for years at all levels. I could understand that refs don't get things right but the annoying thing is when they are inconsistent with the same "fouls". That is not defendable. And if a ref is professional he needs to be held to the highest of standards. There is far too much money in Prem football for the refs to make mistakes like they do. It is time for technology to take control of the highest levels and refs to become mouthpieces for those watching the technology. Assistant referees are even more of a disgrace.

The ref only gave us the ulloa goal because his bracelet buzzed him. Without the technology we don't get the first goal, lose the match and the season continues to slide away. Human error is not a good enough excuse in refereeing when we have the capability to make quick and accurate judgements in top level european football.

A poor ref is little better than a corrupt ref.
