As I said, I'm a leftie. Fox-hunting - what's that about?
Smoking, is it the same thing?
Do those posh f88unters smoke? Roll-ups?

tbh it isn't just the health risks about smoking(and we can argue about how high they are forever) but if i spend £40 on perfume i still want to be able to smell it when i walk out of the ground....not stinky fag smoke which has permeated itself into my clothing.

this happened at Brighton.
i don't CARE if people want to lower their lifespan by smoking...but what i object to, is people sitting in front of me turning their heads after having a drag on a cigarette and then blowing all the smoke in MY direction...

i made my point loud and clear when i said they should blow the smoke on themselves and if they love smoking that much. they never lit up for the rest of the game.....

Great.
Nice that you spend so much on perfume. Mine's Angel Innocent.
You're denying me the right to spray it all over even though some may object to the smell?
Think about it.
I also smoke Samson roll-ups. Just another aroma.

i never bought it.

BUT i'd rather have a fresh and CLEAN smell than going home, stinking up the car and my home of cigarette aroma.

as i've said...i'm not that bothered if people want to smoke or not..but i do object to people deliberately turning their heads so their fagsmoke goes in the direction of other people.

if people want to smell like an ashtray then fine.but i don't.

You know what? My crazy mum abused me so seriously, I have TLE.
I don't mind people driving in their cars. I am glad you have a car to drive.Well done. I'm not allowed to drive. It must be lovely to have a car of your own.
I don't have your advantages. Enjoy them. I am sure you do.
Don't try to hurt me by flashing past me in your sweet-smelling car. I could flash by you in my sleb status.
I choose not to do that.

smoking is a dirty habit, which has nothing but bad consquences for the individual and the people around them-so stop your fookin moaning and give it up.
Do NOT presume to tell me what to do, young man! :icon_evil

I can understand and respect people who don't smoke and would prefer not to have to breathe other people's smoke - that's fine, just tell me and I'll move away if it's bothering you. I won't infringe on spaces that have been pre-allocated as no smoking areas, even if that is most of the country!

But don't tell me how to live my own life in my own space. If I want to smoke (and I feckin well do) then I feckin well will, irrespective of whether you think it's dirty, or bad, or if I'm moaning about it.

Wanking is also a "dirty habit". I bet you're not going to give that up, are you? :icon_wink

Jeez, this thread has taken it out of me.... I think I'll go and have a joint to cheer meself up... laters, chaps!

As a non smoker, i prefer not to have to breath others smoke, however i do think the government are going too far.

I Generally choose non smoking pubs if i go out, and i stay away from the smoking rooms at work. as long as i can get away from it, fine.

Having defined areas for smoking, is the fairest way to go, i least people get the option. and this wouldn't be too difficult in most places.

I Don't want other peoples smoke to effect me, and i don't want my choices to effect other people, its just common sense.

I'm for a complete ban at football grounds. Me & my family sit in the family stand where there is a complete ban.

However, we sit next to the rail seperating us from the West Stand. This rail doesn't stop them ignorant bastards from blowing smoke onto my children.

What we also see a lot of is parents in the family stand, flying across from the other side of the stand at half time. I first thought that they were on fire, or the stadium was on fire, or there was a man with a gun after them, or they had been in a desert for a hundred years and have just spotted a small oasis.

No, they need a fooking fag, and they knock us all out of the way like they didn't see us, climb under the railing, light up, have some sort of orgasm, then blow the smoke back at us. VVankers

The argument is, one of the major reasons for the ban is to protect the bar staff, therefore , the argument goes, why should workers in a private club be subjected to the dangers of smoke inhallation unlike those who are protected.
Members decide most rules, but the club still has to adhere to Health & Safety legislation just like other establishments.
My point is that people who get jobs as bar staff should realise that they will be in a smokey atmosphere, in away it's like joining the army and not expecting to go to war when/if one starts (i know it's not a direct comparison, but it's similar) and if people want to work in the private club then they should be made aware of the smoking policy, if they don't like it then they don't have to work there.

I think it is banned in public places (permitted in pubic places though)

I've just given up smoking but I don't agree with banning it at the ground, that is to say that I'd allow in the seated parts of the stadium in the fresh air.

As for the argument of smoke in clothes, I sat next to a bloke eating a balti pie and my clothes stank of curry after, so should that be banned as well BF?

Its a nice idea to try and help the nations help by deciding where and what they may do to themselves but unfortunately the majority of the country (smokers and non) like the idea of freedom of choice and that is what is being eroded by Blair's "born again" ideals of his nanny state.

By the way, when people are giving up cause they won't want to smoke in the cold, will all the do gooders supporting this bill be just as happy when their taxes go up in a few years?!

no she didn't....that's just gross:icon_roll
it was a white coat though...even after getting it dried clean you could still see it! don't think she's worn it again...

That masala paste is impossible to get rid of - it's like permanent ink!
If I was her I would rub more masala paste into the coat to give total curry coverage, then sell it on ebay as THE WORLDS FIRST CURRYCOAT! :icon_lol:
