I would rather see Sven sign players for the longterm ,rather than on a short time contract, whats wrong in that?

Nothing is wrong with that, except that we can't sign players outside of the transfer window

These players he has signed are loanee's,not ours and will have to go back.

We are back to square one like last season when we became dependant on loanee's,that's not building a side that's just patching things up.

There is no chance of going up so why sign these players?

To an extent I agree with what you're saying.

If we're going to loan players, it 'has' to be on deals longer than a month. I see no point in having a class player like Curtis Davies on a months loan and then Villa refuse to extend it. We then have to reshuffle our back four to accomodate either a new loanee, or bring someone back in to the fold.

The same theory IMO goes for any position within the team.

We need to have a team in place now that will be here for months to come, certainly to give us the best chance of any success this season, simply (as you put it) patching the team up is the wrong way forward and I am holding on to the hope we have already been told that loan extensions will be available on all players we've bought in so far.

I'm not going to let a defeat to a side, who have arguably the best defence in this league, and are more than capable of winning week in week out get me worried just yet.

We once used to be like that, I just hope the good times return.

****ing chaos on the trains in south Wales. We have just arrived in Bridgend - we are running 72 minutes late and I am in danger of missing my last train from London.

Which means they'll have to put you in a taxi ?

If you was Bruno Berner and Martyn Waghorn would you have been happy today.

They don't have to go back, if we sign them permanent

I'm on the same train - I particularly enjoyed the two bouts of counting to 30. Wales is shit!

Whereabouts are you? I'm in Coach G

I suspect he's now decided to walk :icon_wink

Just left Bristol Parkway 73 minutes late. Have been authorised to travel on the fast train from StPancras arrives at Ashford just before my last train to Sandwich.

Now due home at 00:24

Yes but what about when you get to London and there are delays? :icon_lol::icon_lol:

If we are going to play one man up front, we need to get in a player who can play that role; Fryatt is not the man for that job.

Couldn't understand why he took off King, who was the better midfielder today.

Abe is not as bad as some make out. He showed some good touches, and almost played one of the best balls into the box today. I suspect his problems are lack of communication, as he seems to spend too much time looking around him for someone to tell him what to do.

I really, really hope Davies isn't badly injured.

According to Stringer there is a chance he could be back next week. Apparantly it looked like a groin injury, but was infact a hamstring injury.
