A hammering might be just what we need. NP has singularly failed to acknowledge anything is wrong over the last three dire performances.

Surely the changes in personnel and formation are acknowledgement he thinks something is wrong

Why have we abandoned the principles which served us so well over the course of a year and a bit? It isn't just the step up; we had no issue attacking superior teams to those we're melting against now a few weeks back.

We've suddenly become a side which sits back and tries to contain, hoofing it forward because our style doesn't create space for expansive passing. Which would be fine if we had players capable of containing, but not one of our current back four look good enough for this league at the minute, let alone any of the more defensive players further forward.

Can anyone explain how passing a ball 5 yards sideways to a player in space is much more difficult in the Prem than the Championship?

Out of interest, why is Pearson still in the stands? He's made the changes from on high, now he'd be better served on the touch line encouraging players to execute them.

Does it really matter, or make any difference, what NP says to the camera?

There's no way anyone is watching these performances and thinking that we're playing well (or to our ability). How NP chooses to rectify that internally is completely unrelated to his 'soundbites'.

Really?! He didn't do that for the second half against United but we still seemed to manage then. Or for Everton. Or Arsenal. Or...
