Just bought a Canon EOS 1000D.

Not a patch on Des's tackle, but this is my first venture into the DSLR market and it appears to come with shit loads of good reviews.

Any of the EOS range are very very good IMO. I would love a Rebel (I think it is the 450D) but just can't afford one at the minute.

Mine's the Rebel XS and is one step down from the 450D.

So far, love it.
