Speculation ThaiSweetChili's annoying, but traditional, totally unfounded Summer15 rumours thread

Well apparently Pearson is known for giving out seriously ludicrous contracts, so I'm sure it does.

Is he? I think it's quite the opposite. In addition, it wouldn't be Pearson who was involved in negotiating wages. He may be made aware of or asked his feelings about the situation but that's about as involved as he'd get.

I think it was a jibe at Brown Nose.

Erm, no thanks

I don't honestly care what we may or may not pay Sako or any other player for that matter. Our owners have shown that they are shrewd businessmen who will not put the club in financial danger and NP has certainly demonstrated that he is able to develop a united squad. If (and of course it's a big "if") we are willing to pay this guy 50,000 a week then they obviously deem it a viable deal.

The same goes for the age of potential signings. I don't care if they are 35 or 21. I only care if our manager wants to sign them.

The big trick is not to have huge discrepancies between players if they have similar abilities, work rate, attitude and ethos.

The problems arise if you get a 'diva' in the squad.

Nigel has clearly done his best to ensure that all new players buy into his squad ethos.

I know nothing about Sako, but I am sure the coaches and scouts have carefully done their homework on him for some time.

It is also possible that longer serving first teamers have had their contracts enhanced to reflect Premier League status.

I cannot imagine that Schlupp was on anything more that about £10,000/week a couple of years ago.

I very much doubt it will be a basic weekly wage of £50k per week, he is available on a free so it is more than likely going to include signing on fees, bonuses and other incentives

Jaz Richards, allegedly.

Sincerely hope not - he was a liability on loan in the championship last season!

He's going to Fulham for £500,000 apparently so don't worry OldGit.

No idea - first I heard of him was last year and he was referred to as "Jazz" then
