According to the Mail, Chris Kirkland and Scunthorpe's Josh Lillis are alternatives to Schmeichel if he doesn't come. I think Lillis is a new name to be linked.

They also say we're hoping to sign Lee Peltier for £750k today.

This is not really a rumour but it is certainly unfounded.

I went onto a Leeds Fan Forum where they are full of grumbles about how other clubs (including Leicester) are spending money. However, one poster called South1 made the following suggestion (his spelling not mine):

For our midfiled space vacated by Kilkenny we should go for King at Leicester decent little player

I believe the modern phrase is "You wish"
However, members of this forum will be relieved to know that a poster called BigBB is unimpressed by the idea of Leeds signing King:

King would not stir the imaginations of many!

It's getting exciting now, isn't it? With all the speculation beginning to translate into signings. And the fact that the players we've signed have all been rumoured before we've signed them adds a bit more credibility to the endless newspaper rumours.

I think we'll announce at least one more today... probably Masilela, but maybe even two? Who knows! Exciting times.
