Jimmy Kebe will not be leaving Reading before the transfer window closes, according to manager Brian McDermott.
The 27-year-old has only 12 months left on his current deal, which has fuelled speculation he will leave the Madejski Stadium.
But McDermott told the Crowthorne and Sandhurst Times: "At this moment in time we're still in talks with Jimmy. That's where we are. He won't be going anywhere before the window closes. It's just down to the club and Jimmy to sort out his contract. With just one year left, we are keen to keep him here at Reading, as I have always said."
