Oh Jebus, no - I completely agree. If Waghorn gets a game this season then we might as well give up now

If Beckford does go, I have no doubt whatsoever that someone else will come in

It's the fact that some people seem to think he is irreplaceable that remains a complete mystery to me

Who has suggested he is irreplaceable?

Is St Ledger"s shirt one of those too tight ones?
I remember players returning from Summer all blubbery in the 60"s-would not happen today surely

Do you remember the 60's? Then for a bloke of your advanced age you certainly are dense. So much for wisdom and experience.

chortle, chortle

I don't get all the disdain Waghorn receives. The only season he played a full one for us he scored 12 goals, most of these coming from the bench, so I wouldn't worry at all about filling a void if Beckford were to leave and I am pretty much certain that if he was to go, a cheaper alternative would be brought in so we wouldn't be down on numbers.

Centre half wise - a 4th was always going to arrive anyway but losing sledge for upto 8 weeks is a big blow IMO, I'd imagine we'd be looking for another acomplished player now though due to the injury rather than a Morrisson type signing.

St. Ledger's out for six to eight weeks now so there'll be at least one new face coming in at the back you'd have thought.

Looks like he's been enjoying himself rather a lot this summer...

He's only strained the ligament and he's going to be out for 6-8 weeks? Bollocks :(
I did mine last week and doctor said it's torn, but wouldn't give me any idea of how long it takes to heal.... 6-8 weeks at least then I guess! :(
