Gas Masks for Goalposts briefly mentions him playing for Wolves, Coventry and, upon returning to England in the 60s, Birmingham, but not Leicester.
Of Fossils and Foxes says he played for us.

He might have guested for Brum during the war (as he did for us) but during his 60s spell at the club he was on the coaching staff. He would have been in his 40s by then.

Just looked again, and it does say he worked with them, rather than played for them.

Having watched both Yennaris and Miquel quite a lot I must say I'm not bowled over by either. Yennaris is versatile - he can play at right back or in his more natural central midfield - but he's limited, won't dominate a game and doesn't score often.
As for Miquel, he's reasonably assured but again, I'd fear for him in the Championship on the physical side.
Neither have been tested at a level anything like this and they'd have to adapt quickly. If John Cross is reporting this at the Mirror I'd be inclined to believe it as his sources at the club are usually very good. I guess we'll wait and see, presumably neither will be first choice anyway.
