I am puzzled by the "most disappointing player" section.

A number of members clearly believe Vitor is a poor addition to the squad. They may be correct - I have never seen him play so I accept their judgement. What puzzles me is how he can be a disappointing player if people expect him to play badly.

The disappointing players are surely going to be those who are expected to do well and don't. If for instance Morrison, Hobbs or King play badly that will be disappointing. If Neilson plays badly that is not disappointing since he is merely living down to expectations.

For example I will not be disappointed in Gallagher since I go to games expecting him to remind me of Pike in Dads Army. He may as last year have the occasional good game at which point I will be delighted but however badly he plays I will not be disappointed.

You can only disappoint those people who expect you to do better.

I may be wrong but i believe most people are thinking along the lines that he plays for Benfica, is an under 21 international with a predicted bright future in front of him and he comes to a championship side, why? the assumption being, he cant be that good and therefore will be a let down

I know that footballers are not famed for their brains, but I think people forget that senior players have experience as well as ball skills, that a 21 year old simply will not have until they have been playing for about 10 years.

If you watch the likes of Howard or Dickov very closely, they will often come across as clumsy, but if you look very carefully at their movement, you will see that they are setting up the defender so he is almost forced into a trip to win a free kick near the box.

You think Forest and Bristol Titties could go up?

What's so unlikely about that? They have probably the 2 best and most proven managers at this level (bar maybe QPR) and both have good squads. Btw, I think personally it will take Coppell 2 or 3 seasons to get Bristol City up, but he will do, if there's one thing Steve Coppell knows how to do, it's to get teams promoted from this division and Forest already proved last season they have a squad good enough to compete.
