I think Praet is a certainty to come in. If we can ditch Ghezzal in part exchange that's a terrific deal.
Sky put stats up he made more headed clearances than Maguire last season but didn't win as many duelsDoes anyone else reckon Nathan Ake is quite small for a CB? I'd be worried about him against bigger attackers. Maybe I'm wrong. I haven't seen much of him to be honest.

I really like Chilwell and Ricardo, but neither are strong defensively - which is why you need a very good pairing at centre back
To not replace Maguire is therefore just plain daft, in my opinion, bordering on the ludicrous - but what do I know...
I agree. Excellent for all parties.... Except the poor bastards who end up watching Ghezzal week in week out.I think Praet is a certainty to come in. If we can ditch Ghezzal in part exchange that's a terrific deal.
Soyuncu and Evans will start, its then who is 3rd choice plus the likes of Pascanu, Johnson and Hughes are in reserve if we have that many injuries.I worry about his injury record but I think if we are being raped for every Ruble we have then Benkovic will be the most probable go to. I definitely worry if we have Morgan and Evans at CB for such an important season.

I actually believe Soyuncu and Benkovic will become excellent players. But it's just in case they don't develop. Then again they have to be given a chance to become good players. Interesting to see whether we take the risk or not.
then we shouldn't have renewed Wes' contract if he is that useless. I think some people forget how much Benkovic and Soyuncu cost, we signed them to replace Maguire but now we are going to sign another defender? How does that make sense? If Evans gets injured or suspended we have an issue.
That leaves us to pick between Soyuncu, Morgan and Benkovic. Two unproven/relatively untested in the PL and one who is 35 and past his best.

Based on? I'd love it to be true by the way!
Rodgers clearly feels CB position is a concern, hence why we’re looking for a replacement. It doesn't. I'm with you on this one. Soyuncu as first choice alongside Evans. Morgan and Benko in reserve. Unless Rodgers feels Ajer is super quality and a a snip at £15m.
I think we should be putting down the £40m's on a threatening wide forward or number 10 so that we can have constant support up the top of the pitch.
everything he has said was that he is happy to go with the 4 we have got if we don't see any value, we should always be looking to sign someone, in every position, we should be looking for someone to come in and replace Vardy for example, you never know when a great deal might present itself to you.Rodgers clearly feels CB position is a concern, hence why we’re looking for a replacement.
I’m going to trust his judgement, particularly after he saw Benkovic for 6 months last season. If he doesn’t feel they’re good enough yet, that’s good enough for me.
That’s called a negotiation tactic. He’s desperate to get someone else in.everything he has said was that he is happy to go with the 4 we have got if we don't see any value, we should always be looking to sign someone, in every position, we should be looking for someone to come in and replace Vardy for example, you never know when a great deal might present itself to you.
That doesn't mean there is a great need to rush out and sign someone.
