Am not going to complain if we start the season with Soumare and Edouard in the squad and a fit Barnes, Vardy, Maddison and Iheanacho all off the back of a structured pre season with no International interruption.

Ricardo, Evans, Fofana, Justin (maybe), Ndidi, Maddison, Barnes, Soumare, Vardy, Iheanacho, Albrighton, Soumare, Edouard could all be really fresh to help us start the season with a real bang, which is what we need after the slightly disappointing end to the season....

Looks likes this is a certainty.

Getting the work done early is fantastic too.

These two fit our model really well and have the talent to become very very good players indeed.

Chuck in Bertrand (who I suspect becomes our first choice left back), some cover in central defense, and a quality winger and we are laughing.

Lose Youri and things get more difficult, of course.

Have we signed twins?

I'd be using Justin at LB/LWB and Ricardo at RB/RWB with Castagne as a first choice back up for either. Throw in Thomas and you have another perfectly adequate replacement. Bertrand doesn't get in above Justin, Ricardo or Castagne; not even close.

For the left back spot he most certainly gets in above both Ricardo and Castagne. And seeing as Justin won’t be fit for the start of the season, if he signs, he should absolutely be in the team come opening day. And if he plays well he should keep his place.

Borussia Monchengladbach would listen to offers of 40m euros (£34.3m) for Leicester City target Jonas Hofmann, with Tottenham,Chelsea and Atletico Madrid also said to be interested in the Germany winger, 28. (Leicester Mercury)

Can't see us putting £35m on a 28yo winger. I might be wrong.

What is going on? Ryan Bertrand....? The LB of a team who conceded the second highest total of goals this year? Holy flap gurgling shitbags.

What has happened? We are going backwards at the speed of light if this is seen as a good improvement on what we have. If Justin isn't fit to start at LB then Castagne would be a much better choice than Bertrand.

It's almost as if some of you have never seen him play. He's bang average at best. A decent enough backup for when we need one but I'd say we already have that in Thomas who was absolutely superb in the FA Cup final.

If we want to sign a first team LB/LWB then at least let's sign one that will challenge a fit James Justin.

Bertrand. For **** sake. I'll repeat, the LB of a team who let in 68 goals this season..... Talk about a lack of ambition.

We signed Maguire and Evans from relegated teams.
Yes. They were much, much better players as anyone with a working eyeball and a thread of brain cell could see.

The combination of a very, very average player who played in a very, very poor defence is no comparison to two players who absolutely shone in otherwise shite sides.

Frame it how you want, comparing Evans and Maguire to Bertrand is akin to comparing Kelly Brook's tips to Nora Batty's.

Is this the Ryan Bertrand who has 19 caps for England? He must be shit.

There is no way we are getting Gosens. He is absolutely unbelievable. He will go to a top 2 ITalian or German side IMO. Maybe even Real or Barca
