Speculation The hysterical and annoying, but traditional, totally unfounded summer 2022 rumours thread

Brilliant.

If I was sat in a room with you and a tin of Corned Beef, I'd be more receptive to the opinions of the tin of Corned Beef.
I’m sure you’d hash it out.

If Chelsea can sign Salah and De Bruyne, and then ship them both out for a £10m profit in total a couple of years later because they weren't good enough for the first team, I'm fairly relaxed that we'll let the odd youngster leave who *may* go on to achieve bigger and better things.

As long as we don't do a Man Utd where we've let him go, then will wait a few years to sign him back for a fortune, for him to then be shit and go back to Rangers on a free...

To be fair, I'd probably vote for a dead cow in a tin ahead of Rishi and Liz.
That’s a bit unfair, why not wait to see what they’ve got to say in the next Tory leadership debate thing?

Actually, apparently they haven’t got anything to say, so carry on.

You need to get out more, Pop.

Not today though. Death rays coming from the sun, or something like that.
I would but since the **** of the Year win I can't seem to go anywhere without people pointing at me and shouting ****.

I mean, that happened before but still....

So by my count it’s 10 players on the last years of their deal:

Tielemans
Soyuncu
Perez
Amartey
Kasper
Vardy
Evans
Bertrand
Mendy
Choudhury

There are 5 key players in that list and 2 more that were heavily involved last season.

I could see Vardy, and possibly Evans, signing new, shorter, deals.

The rest are on the outs. Unfortunately I suspect the vast majority of them will see out their current deals rather than move this summer. I have hope we can move Soyuncu and it’s possible Tielemans gets his move later in the window. Can’t see any real bids coming in otherwise.

The bad news is obviously that these will all walk out on free transfers and the club won’t get any cash from it. The silver lining is the wage bill will look significantly better.

Then in ‘23 these are the players that will be in the same boat:

Maddison
Ndidi
Nacho
Albrighton
Thomas
Vestergaard

We will be looking at having to shift Madders, Nacho and Ndidi if we can’t get them pinned down…and we’ve seen how that goes with Youri.

The great refresh is coming next summer whether the club is ready or not. This summer is on their own terms a little, next summer so much will be out of their hands. It’s a bit mad the club has found themselves in this position.

Oh, the worry of it all.
