I've never seen the guy play but, on his stats, his attacking returns are similar to Barnes but his defensive contribution is much better.

I was sick to death of Barnes and his one trick and lack of progression. I'd rather we roll the dice on someone different.

For all his strengths, you're bang on the money here. Still would've caned it in this league but I'm not that disappointed he's left. We just need a capable replacement

I'm the past three seasons Barnes has 27 goals and 15 assists. Mavididi has 21 goals and 5 assists.

I don't know anything about this kid at all but the odds are very much against him being as good as Barnes from what we can see. I agree with you though in essence; we do need to roll the dice and if that means taking a punt then so be it. Who knows, he might be an excellent acquisition.

According to here Mavididi has 26 goals not 21 so there must be something going on with sources.
