Barnes is far too fragile psychologically for what's coming. He'll maybe start okay but he'll crumple soon enough.

I think he'll be back at City in a couple of years for less than half the fee Newcastle are paying.

I think they'll struggle more too. I think they will still get top 8, maybe top 6, but they won't get higher than that yet.

But they'd be stupid to sack Howe for that - although doesn't mean they won't.

Definitely agree on Barnes though. I think he's a decent signing for them but can see them progressing beyond him quickly with the money they have, and him being disregarded and back with us in 2-3 years if we're back in the Prem
