Speculation The hysterical and annoying, but traditional, totally unfounded winter 2018/19 rumours thread.

Yea, but saying there isn't enough time to sort a permanent deal out is absolute bollocks.

Some transfers can be very complicated, it's not just a case of agreeing a fee and wages. There will be agents and lawyers involved too. There may be things like bonuses owed to the player that need to be sorted out.

We've seen how easy it is to cock it up when we leave it to the last minute. Doing it initially as a loan can buy some time to get all the details sorted out.

John Percy said we are going down the loan route because a permanent transfer would take too long to complete, so sounds like its with a price agreed

Where are you getting that from? His Twitter says:-

Clearly bollocks as Puel has just decided that Silva is ****ing mint.

No way we'll get promoted if Puel gets rid of his newly found box to box genius

There's loads of time, it's more likely down to our shambolic operations with regards to transfers these days.
Yeah isn’t enough time for us to do it though others could then, is that worded better for you? :003:

Well it had better be option to buy otherwise it seems pretty pointless to me.

Not necessarily.

Maybe we don't want to get rid of Silva without having a replacement (like we did with Drinkwater...), so we just want someone until the summer when our actual target might be available.
And if Silva does well we might get a decent fee for him. More than we'd get if he spends the rest of the season sitting in the stand at the KP.

Let’s be honest. Silva was never going to play.

If Ndidi, Mendy, Choudhury, James, King, Barnes, Maddison, Amartey, Albrighton, Dewsbury-Hall and Ghezzal all get injured, he might have a chance.

He'd play a new dynamic partnership of Gray and Maguire there, the useless great feck

I'm confused, I thought Silva was our box to box genius?

Now I'm sad.

Hope Tielfucks likes playing out of position

Both clubs solving short term problems and kicking the tyres.

We have no use for Silva (for reasons I’m still a bit unclear on).

They are trying to move a disruptive player who doesn’t get along with the new boss.

Makes sense to me.

Not convinced our current setup is strong enough to get the best out of this fella though. We will see.

Tielemans is twice the specimen Silva is. When he was at Anderlecht he was a force. He's done loads in a short space and then fallen foul of Monaco selling all their best players. He will thrive at city. Him Hamza and Maddison will wreck it

In the shop window for all to see perhaps. Which assists us next season in no way whatsoever.

Other than knowing what sort of player we need to prioritise to make a system work...
