Speculation The hysterical and annoying, but traditional, totally unfounded winter 2018/19 rumours thread.

we already know he's off in the summer
Yes. It's totally understandable therefore why he doesn't want to go in January. There will be others who don't want to go either. Like I said, unless the club accept a financial hit on sale price or salaries, few will be going anywhere. Fewer still will be arriving.

apparently the club are trying to get Calum Elder a Championship loan in preparation for next season so maybe they have told Fuchs he won't be leaving as they don't want to have to sign a short term cover option

Fuchs has never made any secret of the fact that he will leave at the end of his contract to be with his family in USA. why would he want to leave in January? who would sign him and pay his wages for a few months when he has made it clear what his indentations are. Fair play to him. the club should simply homour his contract thank him for what he done for us and send him on his way with our best wishes. I am sure that Ben Chilwell's development has been assisted by his experience and that shows proper succession planning by the club.

Maybe we should offer them a deal, £25-30m for both Silva and Slimani

Not sure if it was on here someone suggested Aaron Mooy but he’s out until February

**** Sporting. Anywhere but there. They've ripped us off enough already...

Manchester City are planning a £50m bid for Leicester and England left back Ben Chilwell, in January, with Benjamin Mendy still out injured

They also reckon Chilwell is on £110k a week. Surely not...

It wouldn't surprise me one bit. Top players want to win things. We will not retain our top players unless we're an awful lot more ambitious than we've been over the last couple of years.

Our net spend since we won the title is less than Fulham, Brighton, Wolves and Palace, and almost identical to Huddersfield. And we've made two successive stupid choices of manager. We've deteriorated starkly.

If I were Chilwell, I'd be very keen to get out.

Rearrange these words into a popular saying: OFF ****

He's not a top player and you don't know what you would think if you were Chilwell.

He's not a top player......

He's a 21 year old, who is one of the first names on the team sheet for a top ten Premier League club

He's also an England international - now seemingly a regular one, with five caps under his belt already and many more to come, I reckon. He has performed exceedingly well at that level so far

Of course he's a top player, FFS

he’s arguably our best player. Certainly our best asset.
