Speculation The hysterical and annoying, but traditional, totally unfounded winter 2018/19 rumours thread.

New sign for Jon Rudkin's door..

designated-scapegoat-lg.jpg

That's the exact same one pinned to Matty James'treatment table.

Like I said, nobody on here knows and it’s all based on “he said, “she said”.

he does the negotiating, and press people have said Rudkin runs the football side and Whelan runs the business side so Rudkin would control the budgets on the football side of things from coaching, transfers and contracts

But he might still be part of a panel that decides whether to offer a player a new contract or not, before it is negotiated. And it still might be that a contract offer is approved by a board before being signed off, even if it is “negotiated” by JR. The reality is that there are many things that go behind decisions that are made, so unless you “know”, then you are feeding off whatever info is put out there and joining dots.

Like I said, nobody on here knows and it’s all based on “he said, “she said”.

Exactly.

Yes Claude but don't mistake quantity for quality. We may well have a big squad but much of it's shite.

We cannot get through the rest of the season with an injured Vardy and only Nacho and Shinji for back up

Sure he knows that full well, but I don't blame him for not answering stupid RL questions about it

or he's blanking the question so people with a striker for sale we are interested in don't suddenly hike the prices up, I expect all managers to lie to media about in coming transfers
Nothing will ever match Pearson dismissing Stringer about 2 days before we signed Mahrez. That was gold.

A striker is an absolute must I’m done with Iheanacho, well and truly blown his chance

We need to add more attacking talent and if that means moving on some of the underperformers in that area of the pitch - so be it. Pretty much the only players we can rely on to mount any sort of attacking threat are Maddison and Vardy.. maybe Albrighton on a good day. That means Gray, Iheanacho, Ghezzal, Okazaki all for the chopping block as it were. Ghezzal clearly a panic buy to appease the fans after selling Mahrez. Okazaki never has been prolific - he was a lynch pin In Ranieri's side but these days is pretty much a spent force. Gray I'm about fed up of.. rarely does he deliver and Iheanacho is proper slow and lazy. Maybe he's going through a bad patch or just doesn't suit Puel's style of play (no bad thing as I'm no big fan of Puel either). Similar to Gray he just doesn't deliver enough..

Daily Fail saying West Brom want Andy King on loan, nice make up for bringing Barnes back (yes I know we're not but I can hope)

Swap him for Rondon

I wish we'd have gone for him.

At least he has an obvious strength that you can actively play to rather than our vanilla approach.
