Perhaps we should consider one thread for baseless speculation for transfers in and another (which I will put on ignore) for speculation for transfers out. My mental health would gain much benefit therefrom.

I'd call it a clear upgrade on Farke, whereas (and I count myself as Gerrard positive) I wouldn't say the same for Villa

Gerrard is a huge gamble from Villa. All his experence being from a two-team league. Villa's PL status is at stake. Mad decision imo.

You're forgetting that when he took over it had become a one-team league, his record in the Europa league is also pretty good

Huh? Surely he's on loan there for the season?

Also, up front is one area we've got good options... No way we go and sign another striker.

I think it's only if there is a recall clause usually that it's allowed, which I can't imagine most Prem clubs would agree to.
