Seems pretty hard to enter a race when you are banned from getting to the starting line. Or some better metaphor.

They don’t, necessarily, but it doesn’t take a genius to realise that we might need to sell players and he’s both homegrown, which is particularly good for the books and also, in all likelihood, the player that we could sell for the highest price. It’s one of those stories that could easily be made up and, at the same time, realistic.
