I'm going to wait at the player entrance tomorrow and ask him what bread he likes.

I reckon he bakes his own. His blood pressure is fine but he still closely monitors his salt intake.

I'm really, really not getting the reference there David. Are you saying that Dean is an odious and nauseating sociopath that is utterly economically illiterate? Otherwise I'm unable to fathom what he may have to do with your post.

So much hatred. Macky too much hatred. .

My post was intended to be a gentle teasing and affectionate look at a player for whom I have a high regard. Every other poster understood this and responded with good humour. .

My daughter is only 13, I'd rather she not bring any adult male home no matter how nice he is.

Quite worried by that team, Nugent (form aside) always scores against Burnley so quite disappointed he isnt starting

Well I certainly noticed him today

Noticed how truly feckin' shite he was

Considering that we're talking about IDS, no amount of hatred could ever possibly be enough. With that said, I didn't display any "hatred" whatsoever, I was merely stating that as a matter of fact. He is an odious and nauseating sociopath, there's no controversy about that.

I offer you my sincerest apologies if my pertinent question has bruised your ego David and I solemnly promise that in future I will endeavour to tell you just how fabulous all of your posts are at every given opportunity.

So now, back to the original, calm and measured, question that you still haven't answered, what on Earth was the reference to IDS all about?
Considering that you hold Dean is such high regard, wouldn't you think that comparing him to such a vicious, repugnant and despicable specimen as IDS would be highly offensive to him?

Dean Hammond is like an escalator. He can't break, he can only become stairs.

Dean Hammond is like rice. He's good for when you're hungry and want two thousand of something.

Mitch Hedberg?

The reason for choosing IDS was that I needed someone whose image was quiet and understated. It could have been Alan Johnson but Ian Duncan Smith had actually described himself in public as "the Quiet Man".

Phrases like "odious and nauseating sociopath" and "vicious and repugnant and despicable specimen" do seem mildly controversial and perhaps more appropriate to Adolf Hitler than Ian Duncan Smith.

Wow.
Thank you for finally answering. Although, I must say that I'm still utterly baffled by your choice. Quiet and understated?!?! What, really?

Ian Duncan Smith had actually described himself in public as "the Quiet Man".
Yes, I agree with you, he does routinely lie doesn't he?

Phrases like "odious and nauseating sociopath" and "vicious and repugnant and despicable specimen" do seem mildly controversial
Yes, those words in and of themselves may be "mildly controversial", but that isn't exactly what I said, is it? He is a vicious sociopath, that is a matter of fact.

Or perhaps appropriate for the both of them, Mr Godwin.

*Edit* Apologies, I forgot to tell you how fabulous your post was, but please don't think that I wasn't in absolute awe at the majesty of it all. I imagine that it will most probably be used verbatim as a reference material for students in the future.
