Should the Blackpool fans have listened to us about Holloway?

I remain one of the few who didn't want him sacked and thought he could have done a better job than Pearson. I've no idea what you or anyone else told Blackpool fans - I told them nothing, if I had then it'd be positive.

But there's no comparison to be made; Swans flooded forums to tell us about Sousa and there appears to be more than a grain of truth in what they said. What initially seemed like sour grapes comes across as more valid with every single game and post-match interview.

Ahh right, I thought it was something in Welsh

There's a simple test for that. If you slobber spittle out the corner of your mouth when saying the word then it's deffo Welsh.

So I'm sorry, but it can't have been Welsh despite the absence of vowels.

We always knew that our first games were a tough line-up, but with those out of the way we should look to get moving. Looking at the five coming up, I would hope we should take at least ten points from them, which would make all the difference to the way the table looks for us at the ten game mark.

Did we? Up until the last 2 games it really wasn't a tough line-up of fixtures in any shape or form.

Crystal Palace - Lower half/relegation strugglers
Middlesborugh - Mid-table
Burnley - Upper Half
Reading - Mid-table
Coventry - Lower half/relegation strugglers

FWIW this time last year Swansea were 19th with a massive 6 points from 7 games. They then went on a run of wins and mostly draws until the turn of the year ... losing only to N'castle and Forest.

I think this squad can do something similar.

thats the only stats that we comparable on.

1 - swansea were already used to the passing game and had players used to it.
2 - they werent losing games 3-0 and conceding first every game.

how many people here really think passing is more important that defending and been clinical in front of goal?

  1. Sousa
  2. eeerrr...

2009-10 Leicester would have given Palace, QPR and Middlesbrough a right shoeing, and certainly wouldn't have thrown the towel in at half time against Burnley. Sousa needs to start giving some answers, sharpish. And they need to be bloody good ones.

Like at Waford (A)? :icon_wink

I would argue that Middlesboro, Burnley and Reading would have been considered tough games last season, so should be this season. Derbies are always tricky too (we don't seem to get much out of Coventry too often), and who really knows what to expect from a season opener? This >was< a tough start, but it's over now.
