Something to scupper the Scottish League rumours. From the Beeb:

Paul Lambert says he is keen to manage another club in England - despite resigning as Wycombe boss last week. The 38-year-old, who left Wycombe after their League Two play-off defeat by Stockport, has been linked with a move back to Scotland.

But the former Scotland, Motherwell and Celtic midfielder said: "If truth be told I would like to stay in England. You sometimes don't have the choice to do it but it took me two years to get a reputation there and I'd like to stay."

Forgetting all the stuff that's gone on between him and the club, why would he come here?

He was doing really well at Leeds, it looked like they'd get automatic promotion the way they were going. But he still chose to leave them. So why would he even consider going back to the third division, to a smaller club than the one he left, in a worse position than the one he left?

Gus left, then things started going downhill whilst wise was still there, staring into a possible failure he jumped ship.

Personally, I see this as the journalistic death knell to Bill Anderson & co - I'm sure I saw Bucks Free Press door to door distributors out in force in Enderby this weekend.

He's ruled out a move to Hearts by signing a new deal at Motherwell - so actually looking less likely that he would be coming here (not that he would even be in Mandaric's top 100, I suspect)

Sorry I meant it is looking more like that Lambert, the subject of the thread, is coming here, as the only other rumour for him was to go to Motherwell when Maghee left, which he now isn't, so Lambert isn't, so he might.
