Re: Lambert new manager

Dennis Wise for me.

Seriously.
If you see what he did at Leeds, and forget what he did here before, then it's a good shout.

He won't come back though, he can't, surely?

Depends how serious people are about getting back into the Championship or PL. :102:

Forgetting all the stuff that's gone on between him and the club, why would he come here?

He was doing really well at Leeds, it looked like they'd get automatic promotion the way they were going. But he still chose to leave them. So why would he even consider going back to the third division, to a smaller club than the one he left, in a worse position than the one he left?

Re: Lambert new manager

The shopping. He would come for the shopping.

And the market.
I hope he comes back, I'm sick to death of posting him Pork Pies and his cheques bouncing!!

He can come and get them himself in future.

Just read this in the Bucks Free Press:

WANDERERS boss Paul Lambert made his decision to quit [Wycombe Wanderers] two months ago and says even winning the play-offs would not have changed his mind.

That statement seems to suggest that our job was not in his mind at the time he made the decision.

Quite.

All Football managers who resign from their jobs always tell the Bucks Free Press the absolute full and unchallengeable truth as to their career development strategy. This is an iron law and personally I live my life relying on the Bucks Free Press to provide such information.

Wow - I thought the way forward was to rely on The Metro but I sit corrected. Henceforth, I shall worship at the Church of The Bucks Free Press.

Wise is a selfish egocentric poison drawf who only cares for himself and how much money he makes. So yes if MM did make him a huge offer that was more than he gets at Newcastle then I'm sure he would agree. BUT seriously would he ever get the fans onside? David Speedie did it back in 1993/94 but I could not see Wise doing it as he is hated that much:098:

If he won matches and got us promoted then he would get the fans onside. For the record I despise him.

It's quite amazing really that The Bucks Free Press is so little read outside High Wycombe - I see it as being to sports what The Times Literary Supplement is to books.

I would not step foot inside the ground if Wise was manager

It was his twat of an agent that took this club into administration remember.

I think you can plan your next visit.....Wise is nicely suited up running the London end of the Newcastle United business development and I doubt very much whether he would be up for mucking it again in the Third Division.
