at least Southgate seems to actually have a plan unlike the rest we have had

No he doesn't

As soon as Kane, Alli, Henderson and Lallana are fit they will all be in the first team without a thought for anyne else

This lot played because no one else could be arsed to turn up

And it was far more interesting to watch.

Some shit in amongst them but overall a far more direct approach suited us.

Vardy should play against any of the remotely decent opposition in the WC.

Mrs Vardy being tipped to be in I'm a Celebrity so could be out of the way for a few weeks. Not sure if that would be a good thing or a distraction to our Jamie.

Wanker Wise is confirmed as there. First crocodile attack live on TV? .

Which says it all about our national team. It would be nice to see those who couldn't be arsed being left out permanently but it won't happen as we've probably already recorded the Mars and Nivea adverts.

True

But as it's a plan formulated by Gareth Southgate...well, I'm not getting excited.

It's also predicated on bringing through youth. Which is fine in itself but will be inevitably scuppered when they become established in the PL for big teams & end up believing their own hype. Stoked up by our magnificent sporting press who will hail them as world class superstars on the back of getting a hat-trick against Palace.

Say what?

IIRC, Tottingham only "lost it" discipline wise in the ten minutes or so after Eden Hazard's fine goal .... by which time the party was kicking off over at the Vardy ranch ... and everywhere else.
Not to mention that Spurs would only have gone on to lose it the next time we managed a draw, he's being incredibly presumptuous for a match official

It would be if that's what he said. Reading it carefully itt looks more like they have taken some words, applied creative editorial touches and made a "sensational" story out of it

Yup, it isn't what he said. Even though I'm glad he let them **** up on their own, doing things like that are what's wrong with football for me. Picking and choosing when to apply the rules and when to keep playing until the right team scores just isn't right.

what he said was he should have sent 3 Spurs players off in that game but didn't want the media to be saying he is why they lost the title, which you know they would have, so let them self destruct without the red card

If they won I'm fairly sure he'd get some criticism for letting them get away with a daft amount just to let them win. Just as well they drew eh.

I normally find accusations of referees' attention cravings exaggerated but Clattenburg clearly has some issues with it. 'Allowing them to self-destruct' is his post-event justification for his decisions
