I can’t see what the fuss is all about?

He has merely said he let potential sendings off become cautions as he didn’t want the headlines to read about the referee and not Leicester winning the league.

We won the league 'cos of performance enhancing drugs and bent referees

If you say it enough times, and feed the whole narrative with shit like this, then it becomes fact

Was his job to referee a football match according to some rules or just make his own up to protect his ego? Some of the tackles spuds put in were stupidly dangerous and shit like that and eye gouging shouldn't be ignored for any old bollocks reason. I personally think it's all a load of shit and he's probably about to announce a book being published.

I thought that match was quite possibly the most fantastic to watch I've ever seen.

The first half was depressing and worrying. As the second half progressed, it went from vaguely hopeful, to exciting, to magnificent. I was howling in laughter for a lot of that second half and blubbing for the last ten minutes.

Clatterburg did a marvellous job of enabling Spurs to self-destruct in a visible and embarrassing manner. Good on him.

He did not want to be blamed for Spurs being deprived of the title by red carding foul play.

He did not need to. Once Hazard had equalised, Spurs just lost the plot. End of.

If his master plan was to stop Spurs winning, he was not doing much about it for the 80 minutes!

Hes just saying he didn't want to be blamed by sending anyone off and that he probably should have sent off two or three of their players on another day. Bottom line is it was a pretty childish performance from Spurs and more so the longer the game went on... they did indeed self destruct.

Of course he let all this go and none of it was for their benefit, the opposite actually? He's admitted attempting to influence the outcome (Some may use the word fix) but I'd be very surprised if it worked out the way he intended. All of this after spuds were allowed to get a referee change not long before.

Yeah, and that's the reason why this situation can never be judged objectively by City fans. Just because a game turned out absolutely perfectly doesn't mean that the referee deserves credit for it

Of course I think Clattenburg talks complete bollocks so it's might be just as well

& there I was thinking we won the title rather than Spurs losing it. Silly old **** that I am. Although I suppose since Spurs pretty much lose on every big occassion it's an easy mistake to make.

Would be happy to see this win. I find that with increasing age you appreciate more those goals that break from the traditional finishing format. You know, the craned necks (Ulloa's header vs Man U always springs to mind), the imbalanced volley, the unexpected shot from a bad angle, the masked shot in high speed kind of thing. This really is a great goal and shows how technically gifted Vardy is.
