I listen to the radio Leicester podcast when I can stomach it. He Does my head in.

I actually have a lot of time for Piper, and you have to respect Palmer Atkin for the level he has reached at such a young age. Both have potential to be really good broadcast professionals. But they are being guided by a braying fool. It’s concerning for Palmer Atkin especially

I don’t really like going after public figures much but Stringer does my head in. I wonder if part of my opinion is formed by The Apprentice and the stuff that leaked out about his marriage or if it’s just I think he’d be a terrible “hang”.

Anyway.

I used to defend Stringer. No more. He was a decent commentator when he was surrounded by more senior people like John Sinclair and Matt Elliott or even Alan Young who would quickly put him in his place when he was being a twat.

Nobody does that any more as he's been allowed to surround himself with giggling kids and buffoons whose only criteria for the role is their adoration of Stringer.

Piper seems like a really nice guy but he's not a good co-commentator. He is not equal in his treatment of players, because he favours those that he knows. It's pretty cringe-worthy. I agree that the other lad is actually pretty talented for someone so inexperienced but he is contractually obliged to play along with the awful banter which just makes me want to punch him.

Stringer has made the RL commentary and phone in unlistenable to me. The phone in is just him and his mates now anyway, he never takes calls in case someone says something he doesn't like.
