Well they’re not talking about us but I’ll throw this in here as it made me smile. From a thread of anagrams of Harry Potter titles, number 4:

Funny lad, our Jonny.

We get a mention in here
‘Spine tingling’. It was certainly that. One of the main things I remember from that day was that odd sensation of the pressure changing before the massive rainstorm and literally sensing the electricity in the air.

What a ****ing brilliant day.

It was a brilliant day. From the cars all driving through the city honking their horns, to the pubs all chocka with a party atmosphere, it all led up to a celebration inside the stadium to match. What a great day!

I was there. Can't say much sticks in my memory though. One of only 12,055 for a first division match with Lineker and Smith up front for us and Barnes and Johnston for Watford.

It was from 83/84.

I was probably there. But I can't be certain. I went to most games those days, but didn't start going to every game until a couple of years later.

We won 4-1, Peake (2), Lineker and A Smith.

I didn't check the result before watching it, but when I saw the team I had a feeling that Peake scored two long range goals. I should have put a bet on.

I loved watching that team, Lynex, Smith and Lineker in particular. They always looked capable of scoring lots of goals.

The team under achieved though.
Finished 15th that season, and the following season, despite having two of the best strikers in the country.
