I'm taking it as a real sign of progress the way we're talked about in the media. It might not affect events on the field but it reflects a bigger club and one better able to attract players/sponsors etc

Nice article but it’s a bit galling to not be the club referred to, in an article about us, as “City”
Said the same thing. Calling us elite but still ignorant enough to do that.

This feels like a huge largely untapped market for Leicester. We have five African players in our squad now. Imagine the impact we could make from a pre or post season tour.

That would be long overdue, given the disreputable history of the Club and some its star players in supporting the Apartheid regime in South Africa in touring and/or playing in the whites-only NFL, the South African Government sponsored league in the 1960s and 1970s. Ironically, LCFC went on a tour of South Africa and Rhodesia after the 1961 Cup Final.

We've come a long way in sixty years I suppos, but possibly the journey is longer than we think

Yet again I’m a twat for seeing what one of the football podcasts had to say about us. Tried Totally Football because they have a running order so I could skip straight to our bit. Got 30 patronising seconds of how it was nice to see us win it because the big clubs don’t care about the CS and then they starting banging on about how ‘City’ have loads of injuries and how ‘City’ might have a slow start and how ‘City’ are playing Spurs soon.

Load of absolute bollocks.
