Normally the annual confirmation statement won't include this info as there's been no change to the share structure or valuation. The previous update in 2016 or something that bm mentions was after a share issue i think. I know next to cock all about football accounts but if I had to guess.....we've revalued the shares to offset losses to make them allowable for ffp purposes if that's in the rules?

Yes, I know I quoted from that page above, where it clearly says Football Insider is the source. So that's the source, not the BBC. Just saying "The BBC say" is misleading.
Some sources of rumours are more reliable than others. If a proper BBC journalist said it, it's more likely to be true than if it comes from a website that makes their money from clickbaity headlines and dodgy transfer rumours.
