He's diving 300,000 more dives a week?
That too.

I did find it funny on Twitter the other day Villa fans complaining about the dive when he'd been doing it for them for years and they've only just now got a problem with it....

re, Maddison I think it's possible he'll sign a new deal as long as he's got a get out clause which you can't blame him given how this year has gone and the whole club has underperformed massively. You do get the feeling he loves being at the club and will likely be earning significantly more money on a new deal - probably the top earner at the club, I think he's worth that. The Spurs game is a sign that maybe we can get back to those levels of battling with the best of them with this team...

Plus even if he signs an extension doesn't necessarily mean he'll be here for a great deal longer. He's constantly improving it wouldn't surprise me to see a bidding war between Newcastle and Man City this summer. Liverpool also in need of an overhaul with reports of a £300m spree incoming and midfield being the chief area where a complete redesign is needed.

They would both be poor signing IMO.

There is a reason no big clubs have came in for Ward Prowse.

And Loftus Cheek...over paid crap.

I read an artcle saying Loftus Cheek stats when he has played have largely been better than Tielemans individually. Ward Prowse is two years older than Maddison and arguably the best set piece specialist in the league. I think he'd be a good albeit more short term replacement if it comes to that. Naturally though I hope our scouting network is hard at work right now specifically looking for young midfield talents...

We'll see. Remember that his goal and assist record is good here because everything goes through him. He won't find that if he moves.

Spurs, Chelsea and Liverpool would have to significantly change formation to fit him in.

The other three would have to see him as an upgrade on De Bruyne, Fernandes or Odegaard. Not going to happen.

I totally get the interest from Newcastle. That makes sense. I don't see the others being interested.
And if Manchester United don't see him as a significant upgrade on Fernandes then they are ****ing stupid. Albeit his first season was decent, he's been garbage for the majority of this one.

Man U will very likely have new owners by then and if the Chelsea model is anything to go by, they'll be splashing silly money all over the place.

I think every single “top 6” side can make a case for needing/wanting Maddison.

Man City always gobble up players like him and have an aging midfield.

Liverpool need an entire overhaul in the middle of the pitch.

Arsenal have already expressed interest. They have good options in his position, but they have a pretty small squad.

Chelsea are greedy twats.

Spurs lack a player like him completely. Son is probably due a move.

Man U, he’s a ready made replacement for Eriksen.

I think it’s really unlikely we keep him and we will be saying goodbye to him and Youri at the end of this season. Which honestly, is ****ing shit. Our best two players since Mahrez, really.
Man City - will pay the money we want will he sit on the bench, he is an intelligent lad (well intelligent as far as footballers go) Mahrez has done really well there although it took him time.

Liverpool-desperately need his creativity and will more than likely be a frontrunner in the summer.

Arsenal-can not afford him and if they continue to derail then no way they will feature.

Chelsea-have a bloated squad and doubt they will feature

Man Utd-will be the leaders to sign him especially if their buy out goes through.

Spuds - Not sure Conte will want him and will Levy spend that type of money if several clubs are after him?

Newcastle - Have expressed a huge interest but do not want to pay what we value him for, maybe the summer transfer window will change their mind especially if they achieve top 4.

If we have 3 or more clubs wanting his signature then I think we will achieve 60 million plus, interestingly there are no rumours of Spain or Germany looking at him. The only way I see him staying is if we continue our current form and go on an 8 - 10 match unbeaten run and have a whiskers chance of top 6.

Norwich must be licking their lips (15% sell on clause) at this situation, for me I do not necessarily prescribed to this sell to recoup our initial purchase theory, if we keep him for the remainder of his contract then so be it, if the chairman needs to recoup as a result of his Capex then so be it.

Either way like Mahrez, Youri, Vardy Madders has been an absolute joy to watch and it is great he achieved his England call up with us, it must surely send a strong signal to young aspiring players that LCFC is the place to be if you want to aspire to higher levels.

Another great article by Rob Tanner in The Athletic. His analyses of games really are excellent. This one shows how the 3 goals by Man Utd happened.

Leicester’s Victor Kristiansen: Organiser, personality, potential political scientist

Personally think should have gone with Fosse.
Getting pissed off with the pundits n co referring to Man City as city , even when playing another team called City

Hindsight and all that !

A strange day. Wimbledon fans in the low double digits watching on as we voted on reverting to a name under which nobody alive ever has ever seen us play. As odd as the method was, at least we got to vote on our club.
Weren’t their fans arranged so they sat from Row A to the back of the stand in one narrow strip two or three people wide or have I completely misremembered that?
