I think every single “top 6” side can make a case for needing/wanting Maddison.
Man City always gobble up players like him and have an aging midfield.
Liverpool need an entire overhaul in the middle of the pitch.
Arsenal have already expressed interest. They have good options in his position, but they have a pretty small squad.
Chelsea are greedy twats.
Spurs lack a player like him completely. Son is probably due a move.
Man U, he’s a ready made replacement for Eriksen.
I think it’s really unlikely we keep him and we will be saying goodbye to him and Youri at the end of this season. Which honestly, is ****ing shit. Our best two players since Mahrez, really.
Man City - will pay the money we want will he sit on the bench, he is an intelligent lad (well intelligent as far as footballers go) Mahrez has done really well there although it took him time.
Liverpool-desperately need his creativity and will more than likely be a frontrunner in the summer.
Arsenal-can not afford him and if they continue to derail then no way they will feature.
Chelsea-have a bloated squad and doubt they will feature
Man Utd-will be the leaders to sign him especially if their buy out goes through.
Spuds - Not sure Conte will want him and will Levy spend that type of money if several clubs are after him?
Newcastle - Have expressed a huge interest but do not want to pay what we value him for, maybe the summer transfer window will change their mind especially if they achieve top 4.
If we have 3 or more clubs wanting his signature then I think we will achieve 60 million plus, interestingly there are no rumours of Spain or Germany looking at him. The only way I see him staying is if we continue our current form and go on an 8 - 10 match unbeaten run and have a whiskers chance of top 6.
Norwich must be licking their lips (15% sell on clause) at this situation, for me I do not necessarily prescribed to this sell to recoup our initial purchase theory, if we keep him for the remainder of his contract then so be it, if the chairman needs to recoup as a result of his Capex then so be it.
Either way like Mahrez, Youri, Vardy Madders has been an absolute joy to watch and it is great he achieved his England call up with us, it must surely send a strong signal to young aspiring players that LCFC is the place to be if you want to aspire to higher levels.
