He did.Doyle played loads as a regular left back for Cov last year.
But don't let that fact get in the way of finding something to piss and moan about.

He mostly played on the left of a back 3.But don't let that fact get in the way of finding something to piss and moan about.
I mean, that’s why it’s a question. How on earth did you fathom that from my post?!
He is a player capable of playing in both positions (lb and cb). Which is handy because he has to in this system.I didn't realise Doyle was a left-back. So now we have three left-backs, all a similar age?

You mean, there is a point to Doyle and we signed a player who is perfect for the system we are using?Doyle played loads as a regular left back for Cov last year.
He also fits in perfectly for that position for us as when Ricardo goes awol, we shift to a back 3 which suits Doyle perfectly.
Im not really a fan of the hybrid RB/CM bollocks but if that is the system we will play, Doyle is pretty much the perfect player frofile to play that role.
I could see with my own eyes that he wasn’t comfortable when playing the left back role, he was much more comfortable when we kept transitioning to the back 3. Attacking wise he hadn’t got a clue. You mean, there is a point to Doyle and we signed a player who is perfect for the system we are using?
No, that’s not possible.
(Even tho’ that was obvious to everyone but a select few on Sunday).
Why, what’s the WOTS?I've a feeling we won't be short of wingers in a few weeks.
Did you think I was talking about you again? He mostly played on the left of a back 3.
But don’t let that fact get in the way of Pop being his usual tiresome self.
Normally wrong.Why, what’s the WOTS?
Few of our CBs have any really pace. That could prove to be an issue for usMy fear is, although Doyle looks to be a very capable player, he is not blessed with pace. I would like to see the back three be a bit more disciplined as a defensive unit and not push quite so far out to the flanks. We were caught out time and again with a quick ball in behind.
So what was that you said before about ‘fact’?Just asked a couple of Coventry fans to give me the lowdown on Doyle. Here's what one of the had to say:
"He played on the left of our back three. Bidwell would normally leave him exposed though so he spent the majority of games playing as a left back. We'll be much worse without him this season as he is solid. He has a mistake in him from time to time but they are rare. He's really good on the ball though".
So, it is correct that he played on the left of a 3 but he seems comfortable enough at LB. He was fine there yesterday. Personally, I'd still go for Justin.
What was that about obsession.....?So what was that you said before about ‘fact’?
