Where did I say that then?

Maybe you didn't. Maybe I inferred it wrongly from your statement about £22m being a good return on £3m.

If you don't want to sell him for £22m (peanuts) I apologise for my misunderstanding and agree with you 100%

I'm a big big Demarai Gray fan, as you know. But I just don't understand how you can class £22m as "peanuts"?

Nothing really in that article though. Speculative. Riyad will go, Gray likely won't...though 22m would be a nice return on 3m

Well frankly the Mahrez sentence is just something anything could have written and is probably only in there to add Mahrez to the headline.

I'm not even sure why it's there other than they have a word count to reach or something. A headline may explain it though.

I'm sorry to dig up the past but I can't help but go back to these youtube videos when I've had the odd drink. For this to have happened to my club is just the most unbelievable thing that will ever happen. Vardy and Mahrez were just brilliant last year, as was everyone else. I think that this is only now really sinking in. That Chelsea game was just brilliant. Mahrez goal was pure poetry and I think Vardy's was my favourite that year. Mahrez's brilliant clip into his path and Vardy between two defenders volleying home. Just sublime. I know its been done to death, but it will never get old to me.

I still have real difficulty watching this without wiping away a tear.

We'll just disagree then.

Gray is going to be a fantastic player and he's already something very special. He's better now than Mahrez was before last season. IMO of course.

I don't understand all the fuss. When has Gray made you think he's better than Mahrez?!

I find this hard to believe but apparently we have the third best league record at White Hart Lane ahead of its last game today

Most points per league game
Man U 1.30
Chelsea 1.29
LCFC 1.21
Arsenal 1.19

It didn't say in the paper, and it was in an article about the history of white hart lane so you'd have expected it to be about pre-92 as well. But I suspect you are right.

Now, I know that I'm in a really bad mood and that you lot already think that I'm a complete loon with my conspiracy theories, but . . .

This here article got me thinking: http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/foo...etting-chelsea-sign-ngolo-kante-a3543251.html

How come he went to Chelsea? The release clause was supposedly for a Champions League club. Now our owners are extremely friendly down Chelsea way. They have a box there and sponsor them in various ways. Anyone would think that they were trying to ingratiate themselves towards the powers that be at Chelsea in case they ever get a chance to take over there. Maybe. Possibly.

So anyway, Kante sold on the cheap to Chelsea who weren't part of his clause. What exactly was that all about?

I think Top is negotiating a swap of Leicester and Leuven for Chelsea.

So Abramovich will sell Chelsea to Srivaddhanaprabha in gratitude for getting Kanté on a cheap? Yes, that makes a lot of sense.

Perhaps Kanté is just the first step (in BN's view), perhaps Mahrez gets his wish to go there this season and Morgan replaces John Terry.
