Sky Sports reckon we could win the title at home to Swansea if all of the runners and riders repeat their corresponding results from earlier in the season.

I can't honestly see Tottering getting just 3 points out of their next four games. I think we may have to be a little more patient.

I think you're right. If Liverpool capitulate like they did last weekend, they'll have their three points from that game alone. Whilst we could come unstuck against Southampton.

Has anyone spotted we are now mathematically clear of Chelsea (and certain for top half)? When was the last time we finished above them in the top flight?

One of the umpteen nightmare scenarios was us going to Stamford Bridge on the last day and losing with Chelsea leapfrogging us to take the last CL spot. So many of them and most consigned to the bin - only finding out it was all a "Pam's Dream" or the whole thing has been fuelled by Latvian Lightning to go.

For the record Chelsea were even lousier than us towards the end of the 70s and 80s so we were sometimes above them in the old 2nd Div. As for top flight the bottom five for 1974-5 were in descending order -
LCFC(18th), Spurs, Luton, Chelsea and Carlisle.

I hate wanting Liverpool to win but I just cheered when Coutinho strolled through the middle of Spurs defence to convert Sturridge's pass.
