I think the decision to make him permanent manager in the summer was ridiculous.

I have no faith in him whatsoever and am 99% convinced that it will end in tears. Nice guy though.

If I were in charge would I sack him today? No. It doesn't make sense to. We are where we are.

I think he'll be gone before the end of November though. By which time, I expect most of us will be relieved.

Personally, I'd take Allardyce as a replacement like a shot. I think he's very underrated and would be ideal for us if we could keep him here for a couple of years. Even with Shakespeare reverting back to number two seeing as he worked with Allardyce before.
He spent £12m on Jeff Schlupp. £12m!!

It was £9m with £3m in add ons. And I'd pay that to have him back. I think we miss him. His impact off the bench was far better than Gray's for example.
Oh my days.

Wish we'd kept him. Imagine what we'd have got for him in the window just gone

Am I right in think Jeffers got more starts in the team who won the league than Gray was given in that shit from last season? Lolz

Time will tell if the punt pays off. I do worry about how our lot will play if their mate gets the sack though.

Based on the last performance they can only digress from here to the state of full on coma.

If this is how they play for someone they like and respect we are fecked.

It won't be long before the likes of Vardy start to think that they like Craig, but realistically their career won't go any further at Leicester under his management.

I was a big fan of Jeff but to say he was better than Gray is beggars belief
I know right. We were rejecting £25m bids for Gray whereas Schlupp has been part of a team that has made the worst start in Premier League history. Absolute nonsense.

The £25m bid from Bournemouth was denied by them. I think it was likely a lie created by Gray's agent to get his client a fat new contract, which he appears to have succeeded in delivering.

Schlupp played an important role for us for three seasons in getting promotion, the great escape and the title win. He made 122 appearances for that team. Almost every time he was called upon to play in numerous positions, he gave his all and did a good job. Players and managers clearly trusted him. Last season, he was garbage though.

Gray is a show pony that does something good one time in five appearances and is constantly mouthing off about not getting enough opportunities. He's done nothing for the club to make him remotely comparable to Schlupp. Maybe Gray will come good, but there is no comparison between them right now in my eyes.

I think that one of the features of our current position is that a number of players have a false idea of their own value. Gray obviously has talent and potential - but hasn't actually done much for the club; Mahrez and his agent have been trying to ride on the back of one season of brilliance - but unfortunately for him the top clubs throughout Europe are not buying at the quoted price. Not surprisingly after their miracle season the players have got a bit carried away. We are now seeing a bit of harsh reality.

Shakespeare said that the club intend to keep all of their players, adding: "It's well documented we had bids for Demarai. We didn't want to sell him, we want to build the club with players of his ilk.
If not B'mouth than someone else, or Gray's agent is so clever at lying that even the club believes they have received bids when they actually haven't. Or CS is lying too.

Like BN, im entirely unconvinced by Gray. Whenever I've seen him play he's entirely greedy. Like the kid in the playground who doesn't realise it's a team game.

Schlupp was good for us, but we were painfully aware of his limitations. He did a job.

Gray has some great moments, but he doesn't do his job. Consistency is undervalued by those who only see highlights reels...
Matt Mills anyone?

Well clearly if you compare what each has done for the club, then yes obviously Schlupp wins that argument because he was here longer and was part of a squad that did great things.

But that wasn't what was being discussed before, was it? If you asked anyone who doesn't eat crayons who they would prefer in their team right now - Gray or Schlupp - it wouldn't even be close.

Erm, although one of your less ridiculous conspiracy theories, there is still a slight issue with it BN.

This is assuming those at the club haven't completely and utterly lost their marbles.

What are you talking about? Didn't you know that the club reads the Daily Mail to find out if they've had any bids for their players?

Which is why we shouldn't be going for an unemployed manager - as you've correctly implied, many are unemployed with good reason.

We should be looking at good managers across the continent.

I'm not massively impressed by Shakespeare to be honest, he saw the predictable uptick in results initially followed by the equally predictable return to normal service. Personally, I'd make sure that Rafa Benitez's representatives know that he'll be gainfully employed at a supportive club the moment he walks away from the Mike Ashley Shitshow.

I'd be interested to know who you'd think would come to the club
