its becoming a long old day.

How accurate is this inside info anyway?

I appreciate RN Fox's information, and when he posted it last week, I am pretty sure it will have been correct, however since then Rob Kelly has performed beyond the boards wildest dreams.

It is a massive decision for the board, do they continue with Kelly and possibly unearth the next Billy Davies and pretty much on the cheap, or do they take the "safe" option of appointing a proven manager, but run the risk of a poor run of results as the new man gets to know the squad.

The result against Wolves will have thrown the preverbial spanner in the works, albeit a positive one, it has made the boards decision extremely difficult. Kelly has done as well as anybody could have ever wished, and you would have to question the boards judgement, where they to make the change now, considering we are now producing the results that we believed we were capable.

The simple facts were had we not won the 2 games then Newell would no doubt be settling in at his new club as we speak, but Kelly's performance has prompted the board to reconsider, and for that they have to be commended, it seems the board want to make the right decision for the benefit of the club.

I agree, the way I am seeing it is it all depends on Saturday.

Win and we are 6 points clear having won three games on the trot for the first time since our promotion season about three years ago. The job would be Kellys for the season.

Lose and we are joint on points with Brighton, we'll have lost the initiative and things will be looking iffy. The job will be Newells!!

Just my opinion, what do you think??

sounds about right to me babylon:icon_cool

I honestly hope the board has a longer term vision than deciding it on the result of one game.

For me, get Newell in. He da man!

If Kelly gets the job until the end of the season and does well do you think he would be appointed full time manager? I would like to think so. Reading and listening to the way he talks is a breath of fresh air.
